Memorial Day Community Event

Please join us in honoring those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to this great nation, our veterans, and their families.

Request for Support:  Each year free refreshments are handed out to the marching bands and families at the Elmira Memorial Day Parade where the parade concludes across from the Woodlawn National Cemetery.  Carnations are also given to those attending the Memorial Service immediately following.

When:  Monday, May 27th – 8:30am – 1:00pm

This will be the 15th year giving refreshments to the parade participants and attendees at no charge. It is your support that makes this annual community event possible. This is one way we can show appreciation and gratitude for those who have sacrificially given their lives for the freedoms we enjoy today.  Thank you for your help in making this event possible!

Examples of desired items:

30+ cases of bottled water, soda, juices, coffee, 400+ hotdogs, buns and condiments (ketchup, mustard, relish, onions, meat sauce, cheese, etc.), 6 cases of nachos, 4 #10 cans of nacho cheese, several hundred individually wrapped snacks, 20lbs of beef for meat sauce, breakfast items, and other assorted prepackaged items that are easy to dispense to large numbers of people quickly.

Financial contributions are appreciated.  Please make checks payable to Hand in Hand Church.

Opportuity for Businesses/Contributors:  We welcome banners and other promotional materials that you wish to provide, as a reflection of your generous gift to honor families and loved ones of those that have made the ultimate sacrifice for our community.  A recognition board will also be available.
